Garden of the Gods

One of the reasons why I flew to Colorado Springs (besides soul searching) was to take good landscape pictures for my project in my photography class. Luckily, I'm not disappointed with the results. It was really an amazing scenery.

The Garden of the Gods looks unreal. It's hard to believe that the forces of nature conspire to create this amazingly beautiful rock garden, with Pikes Peak forming the beautiful backdrop. The rocks stood up majestically in various architecture.

I took lots of great pictures to show how beautiful and serene the place was, but there is nothing to compare with seeing it in person.

There were people rock climbing on one and that was exciting to see. I hope I could try this someday.

Coldman at 14,110 ft

Pikes Peak needs no introduction. In fact, it is its popularity as a tourist attraction in Colorado that prompted me to climb the mountain in winter, when it is not nearly as crowded.

Yeah, coldman is adventurous.

The view was stunning. Awesome. Breathtaking... literally

An experience like this must be done at least once in a lifetime.

I'm the king of the mountains! Hahaha! It was really cold!

Let's be honest!

Hanapin at saksakin natin si Coldman!

Matagal- tagal na rin ako dito sa blogging world, at ito ang mga napansin ng sobrang manhid ngunit napakabait na si Coldman.


1. Mahirap magcomment lalo na kung di mo alam ang iko-comment mo.

2. Aminin nating, nakakatamad magbasa ng mahabang post, lalo na kung ingles ( Unless, interasado ka talaga or magaling magsulat 'tong blogger na ito) Napansin ko yun kasi pag ingles mga post ko at mahaba, walang masyadong nagko-comment, kaya ito puro kagaguhan na lang.

3. Syempre, masaya ka pag may nagko-comment sa blog mo, dahil feeling mo may nagbabasa . Ang lesson dito mag comment ka rin sa blog nila. (do the same favor, para masaya, wag makasarili) Masarap kayang magbasa ng comments- minsan mas aliw pang magbasa ng comments ng iba kesa sa post mo.

4.Nauubasan rin tayo ng idea kung anong isusulat, mahirap yatang mag-isip. (lalo ng kung busy-busyhan ka) . Kaya minsan, walang kwenta mga post natin. (Karaniwang post ko dito yun!)

5. Ex-link? Pamatay. Aminin nating di lahat ng nasa link natin binabasa natin. At least isa dun di mo binibisita o kaya madalang mong bisitahin dahil di ka nag-eenjoy sa mga post nya. In short, boring para sayo.

6.Bumisita sa mga ibang blog at magparamdam, para naman may new friends. In short, promote your blog. Mga pamatay na entrada para may masabi lang: nice blog! napadaan, bloghopping! was here! ex link? etc....

7. Minsan naiinis ka, nagcomment ka sa blog niya at di man lang nag- reply. Dahil mainitin ang ulo mo, di ka na ulit babalik sa blog nya at sasabihing " ang yabang naman nito! "

8. May time na yung mga dating nagkocomment sa yo ay bigla na lang nawawala, eto lang ang explanation dyan:
a. Di ka na kasi dumadaan or nagkocomment sa blog nila, In short: gantihan/ revenge
b. Feeling nila, mayabang ka.
c. Walang kwenta post mo. Boring.
d. Di ka na nila trip. Period.

9. Nag-iwan ka ng walang kakwenta-kwentang comment para masabing nakapag-comment lang. (At least ang importante nagcomment ka, pwede na yun)

10. Lagi mong binibisita ang tingin mong crush mong blogger! Hahaha!


Sana'y walang napikon o nasaktan sa mga sinabi ko, kung meron man, sorry naman! Tao lang. Alam ko rin namang napansin nyo rin ito.

Ang importante sa lahat ay Blog mo 'to. Malaya kang magsulat kung anong gusto mo. Kung ayaw nila sa blog mo, wala ka ng magagawa dun!

Back to School

I am not taking any masteral or doctorate degree at this time, I'm pretty tired of it. But, since photography is my new interest, at last I decided to enroll a short course in Digital Photography in New York Institute of Photography. I'm quite excited since I've been thinking this for the past few days and also since I dont have any background in this craft, why not give myself a shot. I have bought a digital SLR camera last month and still there are lots of feature that I have not learned. Furthermore, I wanted somebody to criticize my work ( the course provides personal advisor) besides learning new techniques.

The joy of the toy and the fun of the snapshot begins to recede a bit and my attention will surely turns to the subtlety of the image, the meaning of the picture, the composition, and the small changes that separate the good photos from the great one. Though I know it takes time and a lot of experience, still it sounds good to me.

Soon, I will say these words with conviction- "I am a photographer!"
