On Balloons and Ferris Wheel

Back at home! Saturday morning, I woke up early to go to the park. It was beautiful and sunny, a perfect day to walk . Got my cam and took some pictures with the hot air balloon up in the sky. It was just so surreal watching them above but I’ve always wanted to experience what it would be like to actually ride in one of them instead of being the one looking up. Hmmm...

Saturday afternoon, I drove to the state fair, bought some cotton candies and walked like everyone else. I feel like a child staring those rides particularly the Ferris wheel. Back when I was a kid, I almost passed out during my first ride in that cyclic wheel, I dont know but I did not enjoy it. As a look to those people inside the cart, I saw most of their reactions, some were scared, some were excited and others were happy. I then realize that life is like a Ferris wheel. That's pretty profound, right?

But if you think about it, it's really true. And I can think of two reasons why it's true. One is that a Ferris Wheel, like life, is cyclic. Life and Ferris Wheels turn in cycles and bring us to similar points again and again. Secondly, at certain points in the ride of life, we go from feeling very secure to feeling very insecure.

You know as your riding up, you feel pretty secure at the bottom part, but then you go to the top, then, right before everything seems to fall away, there's a moment that you feels very, at least for me, very unnerving. And then, after you pass that point, then you feel okay again. And I hate it when the operator stops the wheel right at the top, at that point between feeling secure and insecure.
Anyway, that's too much for an analysis. The bottomline is at every point that we ride through, it seems like there's another point where we have to stop and face the transition and that's the reality of life.
Okay, I just miss being a little boy, when things are not so complicated. =)

ON MY NEXT POST

I watched her concert last weekend and I almost sleep.

Guess who she is? Prizes at stake! Joke!

Dont worry, I know most of you knew her songs!
